Acid wet scrubber for Ethylene Oxide

Trevi’s Acid wet scrubber converts ethylene oxide (EtO) into ethylene glycol using a 15% sulphuric acid solution as scrubber liquid. Proven in more than 100 installations worldwide, it consistently achieves high removal efficiency across a wide range of EtO concentrations and gas flows.

Principle

Trevi's Acid gas scrubbing transfers EtO from the gas phase to the acid liquid phase with a subsequent hydrolysis of EtO into ethylene glycol.

Application

Waste gases with low to very high concentrations of EtO.
Waste gases with low to very high gas flows (>50,000 cfm).
Also suited for EtO loaded waste gases coming from e.g. alkoxylation plants.
